Interior Design
As part of our goal to deliver holistically conceived and executed spaces, at Orr Made we offer a full interior design service. Through a careful six-step process, we will deliver a bespoke design solution tailored to your house and your lifestyle.
Our design direction is driven by the desire to get to know you and your current home. What are the issues and constraints you are currently experiencing? Our vision of your space comes about by understanding how you want to feel within it. Ultimately how we feel is then how we live. As a result, the carefully considered interior design of a space can create real and practical improvements in the quality of life of those who live there.
After listening carefully to your needs and goals for your space, we get to work to conceptualise a package to suit your brief, requirements, and budget through imagery direction, initial material selections, and a preliminary drawing package. From here, we will set the design and direction and then develop, document, and package the design for costing and construction by our Build team.
Our interior design support continues throughout the build where we work closely with joiners, suppliers, and the construction team to ensure the best design outcomes are achieved. During the construction phase, we begin the furniture procurement process (where engaged) to align the delivery and installation of furnishings with the completion of the build, for a full end-to-end service.
The suppliers we source from and collaborate with are a combination of established industry leaders as well as emerging creators and designers at the forefront of the interior design industry. This allows us to bring both proven credibility and creativity insights to every project.
FURNITURE CURATION
Furniture and styling is the often-forgotten element that brings an occupant’s personality into the space. Being surrounded by everyday objects that serve you either functionally or sensorily is what turns a house into a home.
Perhaps you’ve experienced what a difference it makes when you are surrounded by beautiful and useful household objects that suit your personality and bring you joy–or perhaps you’re skeptical that furnishings can make a significant impact.
At Orr Made, we know that designing and constructing a space is only the beginning for that space. The true test of a space is how it is lived in, and furniture, objects and art directly impact how a space is experienced every day.
We’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful curated space can affect everyday life for the better. It’s the dopamine hit you get when eating from dinnerware sourced from a small Japanese family-run factory. It’s the sofa that’s oriented perfectly within the space for your needs and to your desired comfort. It’s being surrounded by objects collected from various travels or passed down as family heirlooms that have the ability to flood you with warm memories. Put simply, it’s the art of curation.
Whether following on from a full interior design package or as a stand-alone service, our furniture curation services also follow a six-step design process, during which we source and procure all furniture, objects, and art to suit your brief and home.
Once all pieces are sourced and selected, we handle all the ordering and delivery coordination phases through to the installation, placement, and styling of every last object, from the sofa that acts as the room’s centerpiece to the handmade vase that sits on the mantel.
